Acceptable Use Policy

Freelance OS must be used lawfully, respectfully, and in line with marketplace rules. This policy sets clear boundaries.

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all users of Freelance OS. Violations may result in suspension, termination, or legal action. It supplements our Terms of Service.

Freelance marketplace compliance

Freelance OS must not be used to automate prohibited activity on freelance marketplaces — including automatic proposal submission, bulk messaging, scraping in violation of platform terms, or any action that bypasses marketplace rate limits or rules.

Freelance OS provides drafts, insights, and recommendations. You are responsible for reviewing and submitting work manually. Freelance OS does not automatically submit proposals, send messages, or act on your behalf.

Prohibited activities

You may not use Freelance OS to:

  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages
  • Engage in fraud, deception, or misrepresentation
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse others
  • Conduct illegal activity or facilitate unlawful content
  • Distribute malware or attempt unauthorized access
  • Perform credential stuffing or brute-force attacks
  • Scrape or harvest data without authorization
  • Violate third-party platform terms or copyright
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, paywalls, or security controls
  • Resell, sublicense, or share accounts without permission
  • Misuse AI outputs to mislead clients or impersonate others

Misuse of AI outputs

AI-generated content must be reviewed before use. Do not present AI drafts as guaranteed outcomes, submit unreviewed proposals at scale, or use outputs to generate harmful, discriminatory, or deceptive material. See our AI Usage Policy for full guidance.

Security and abuse

Do not probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without authorization. Report security issues to security@getfreelanceos.com. We investigate abuse reports and may cooperate with law enforcement when required.

Enforcement

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy. Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent bans and forfeiture of refund eligibility.
