About Freelance OS
Freelance OS is the operating system for freelancers — one connected workspace for opportunities, proposals, clients, portfolio, services, your Public Profile, Finance, Career Coach, and Analytics. Your skills, portfolio, and history power every module instead of starting from zero each time.
Yes. Try Proposals and Try Opportunities free without signing up, plus browse proposal templates, guides, blog posts, and FAQ. Create a free account when you want personalized fit scores, profile-powered drafts, saved history, and the full connected workspace.
Without an account: Try Proposals, Try Opportunities, proposal templates, platform guides, blog, resources hub, and FAQ/contact. With a free account: core OS modules with monthly limits — Today, proposals, opportunities, profile, portfolio, clients, Finance, Career Coach, and Analytics.
Today is your command center — follow-ups, high-fit opportunities, portfolio gaps, and client actions in one view. Open it each morning to know what to work on next.
Free tools use generic context. When you create an account and add your profile, portfolio, projects, and testimonials, the OS uses that memory across proposals, fit scores, Career Coach, and Analytics — so output sounds like you and compounds over time.
No. Freelance OS never submits proposals, sends messages, or applies to jobs on your behalf. You review, copy, and submit everything yourself on Upwork, Fiverr, or any platform you use.
Yes. Your profile, portfolio, proposals, and client data stay tied to your account. We do not sell your work history or client information. You control what you add and can cancel anytime.
Yes — not a trial wall. The free plan includes core OS modules with monthly usage limits. Upgrade when you need higher limits, exports, integrations, or advanced insights.
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from Settings → Plan & Billing. No long-term lock-in. Your free account remains available if you downgrade from a paid plan.
Your profile is scored out of 100 points: Identity (20), Bio (15), Skills (20), Portfolio (15), Work history (15), Testimonials (10), and Links (5). Targets include 20 skills, 5 portfolio items, 5 work history entries, and 5 testimonials. Home shows a completion card until you reach 100%. New users are guided through a 10-step onboarding wizard at /onboarding/profile.
Referral bonuses are earned only when a referred user reaches 100% profile completion. Registration alone does not create a commission. Subscription commissions are separate and apply when they upgrade to a paid plan.
The matched jobs feed may not be enabled for every account yet. If you see a friendly unavailable message, you can still analyze any job manually — paste the full posting on Opportunities → Analyze new.
Account
Use Forgot password on the login page. You'll receive a reset link by email. If you still cannot access your account, open a support ticket under Account & login.
New users are guided through a 10-step onboarding wizard at /onboarding/profile after registration. Profile completion is scored out of 100 points — Identity (20), Bio (15), Skills (20), Portfolio (15), Work history (15), Testimonials (10), Links (5). Home shows a completion card until you reach 100%. You can dismiss onboarding and finish anytime on My Profile.
Profile completion is the 100-point score on Home and My Profile — it measures whether your identity, bio, skills, portfolio, work history, testimonials, and links are filled in. Profile Readiness in the readiness hub is separate: it tracks whether you are ready to start applying, based on activity, portfolio depth, and niche focus.
Yes. The web app is responsive — use Today, proposals, and clients from your phone browser. We recommend desktop for long-form proposal editing and portfolio work.
Go to Settings → Account to update your name, email, and notification preferences. Some email changes may require verification.
Billing & plans
Yes. The free plan is a real workspace — not a time-limited trial. You get core OS modules with monthly usage limits. Upgrade when you need higher limits, exports, or advanced insights.
Paid plans unlock higher AI usage limits and premium features like PDF export, custom templates, and priority processing. View or change your plan under Billing. Charges renew until you cancel.
Yes. Open Billing, select your active plan, and cancel. You keep paid access until the end of the current billing period, then revert to free plan limits.
Every plan includes the same OS modules. Paid tiers add capacity — more proposals and analyses per month, exports, integrations, proposal intelligence, and priority support — not locked core features.
We accept major cards and regional options through Paystack and PayPal, depending on your location. Payment details appear on the checkout page when you upgrade.
You'll see usage on Today and Billing. You can wait for the next cycle to reset or upgrade for higher limits immediately.
Referral bonuses are earned only when a referred user reaches 100% profile completion. Registration alone does not create a commission. Subscription commissions are separate and apply when they upgrade to a paid plan. See the Affiliate Center or /referral-terms for details.
OS modules & features
Today is your command center — priorities, follow-ups, high-fit opportunities, portfolio gaps, and client actions in one view. Open it each morning to know what to work on next.
Fit Scores compare a job against your profile, skills, and portfolio so you bid on work you're likely to win. Try Opportunities gives a generic preview; signed-in users get personalized scores.
Proposals is where you draft and send work — often starting from a job or template. The library stores saved drafts you can reuse, tag, export, and track for outcomes over time.
Yes. Coach uses your profile, portfolio, niche, and goals — not generic chat advice. Ask about positioning, pricing, proposal strategy, or which opportunities to prioritize.
Each plan includes a monthly AI allowance for proposals, analyses, coach, and related features. Upgrade your plan or wait for the next billing cycle. Usage is shown in Billing and on relevant pages.
Insights tracks what actually converts — win rates, interview rates, proposal performance, and trends over time — so you improve based on data, not guesswork.
Yes on eligible plans. Export proposals to PDF or copy formatted text for email and platform messages. Freelance OS never sends them for you — you stay in control.
The matched Upwork jobs feed may not be enabled for every account yet. If you see a friendly unavailable message, you can still analyze any job manually — paste the full posting on Opportunities → Analyze new.
Free tools
Yes. Paste a job description on /tools/proposal and get a draft instantly — no signup required. Results use generic context. Create a free account for proposals powered by your profile and portfolio.
Try Opportunities (/tools/analyzer) breaks down a job posting — skills, difficulty, client intent, and risk — before you spend connects. Without an account, analysis is generic; with an account you get personalized Fit Scores against your profile.
Free tools are useful for quick drafts and previews but do not use your saved profile, portfolio, proposal library, or client history. A free account unlocks personalization and the full OS modules within plan limits.
No. Try Proposals and Try Opportunities without logging in do not consume your account limits. Once signed in, usage counts toward your plan's monthly allowances for AI-powered features.
Browse role-specific structures at /templates — developers, designers, writers, marketers, and more. Copy a template or generate a personalized version from Try Proposals or the Proposals module.
General
Freelance OS is an operating system for freelancers — one connected workspace for opportunities, proposals, clients, portfolio, services, profile, coach, and insights. Your skills, portfolio, and work history power every module instead of starting from zero each time.
Generic AI starts fresh every chat. Freelance OS remembers your profile, portfolio, clients, proposals, and outcomes — so drafts cite your real work, fit scores use your skills, and insights improve over time across your whole business.
Try Proposals or Try Opportunities free without an account, or create a free workspace. After signup, complete the guided profile onboarding at /onboarding/profile — it powers fit scores and proposals. Then open Home for priorities, browse opportunities, and draft proposals with your context.
Upwork freelancers, Fiverr sellers, developers, designers, writers, marketers, automation experts, and consultants — anyone who finds work, sends proposals, manages clients, and wants one system instead of scattered tools.
No. You can paste jobs from any platform, use free tools anonymously, and run clients and proposals in the workspace. Upwork integration is optional for members who want matched jobs and sync in one place.
Integrations
Connect Upwork from Settings → Integrations to browse matched jobs, sync context, and move from opportunity to proposal in one flow. Integration availability depends on your plan.
Yes. Paste any job description, manage clients in CRM, and track proposals regardless of source. The workspace is platform-agnostic — Upwork is optional, not required.
No. Integrations help you find and organize work — all client communication is sent by you, using copy the OS helped you prepare if you choose.
Privacy & data
Yes. Your profile, portfolio, proposals, and client data stay tied to your account. We do not sell your work history or client information to third parties.
No — ever. The OS drafts and organizes your work. You review, copy, and submit everything yourself on Upwork, Fiverr, or any platform you use.
Your workspace data is private to your account. Portfolio showcases you publish or share via export are under your control — nothing is posted to job platforms automatically.
Profile and work data are stored securely at rest. Payments are handled by trusted providers (Paystack, PayPal) — we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Support
Signed-in users: open Help & Support from the sidebar or the chat button. Visitors: use the Contact page at /contact for pre-sales questions.
We aim to respond within one business day. Billing and access issues are prioritized. Signed-in users see replies in their ticket thread with a notification badge.
Browse step-by-step playbooks at /guides and the how-to hub at /how-to — every OS module with optional video walkthroughs. The blog and /resources hub have strategy articles too.
1) Finish profile onboarding at /onboarding/profile (or My Profile), 2) Reach 100% profile completion for best fit scores, 3) Open Home, 4) Analyze a job or write a proposal. Guides at /guide and /how-to walk through each module.
